Program
“My exhibit in Berlin is a salute to the ongoing global struggle for human rights and freedom in the face of repression, intolerance and hatred. As an artist, an American and a gay person, I know that 75 years ago, showing my work in Berlin could have resulted in my arrest and the pictures getting burned. Sadly, in some parts of the world, that could still happen today.
More Information
I am honored that the American Embassy invited me to exhibit my photographs of American life and freedoms in Berlin. In an era of rising intolerance, we need to double-down on our respect for artists, for freedom of expression and for the celebration of love.”
